Second Dissemination Workshop
The second NANOSENS dissemination workshop was held in Iasi, Romania, on 29th of May, 2015. The event was hosted by the National Institute of Research and Development for Technical Physics (NIRDTP).
The workshop had two aims: dissemination of the most recent scientific and technological achievements in the field of nanomaterials and nanostructured materials with applications in sensors for medicine and engineering; and analysis of collaboration opportunities for participating institutions in national and/or EU programmes (Horizon 2020).
The event started with a presentation of the NANOSENS project given by Prof. Horia Chiriac, after which other participants also presented their scietific work and research achievements. Two of the Romanian companies that attended the workshop also introduced their activities.
The afternoon session was dedicated to four presentations on electromagnetic minigenerators for wireless sensors, applications of spin valve magnetorezistive sensors for monitoring the cerebral activity, magnetic hyperthermia, magnetic nanoparticles as vectors in targeted cancer therapy, and magnetorheological fluids given by young researchers from NIRDTP which have been regarded with great interest by the invited participants.
In total, 37 participants from two companies and four research and academic institutions attended the event.
