The Kick-Off Meeting of the NANOSENS Project was held in Iasi, Romania during the 14-16 October, 2013 and it was hosted by the National Institute of Research and Development for Technical Physics (NIRDTP).

The meeting aimed to bring together the partners of NANOSENS in order to discuss in detail the strategic and operational issues linked to the project implementation, especially during the first year. The presentations and discussions included the topics of twinning, recruitment, development and update of research equipment, workshops and conferences, dissemination activities, IPR and capacity building plan, evaluation, project management and further funding possibilities, such as Eureka Eurostars and Horizon2020.

The participants of the meeting arrived from Spain, Portugal, Greece, Luxembourg and Romania. Main discussions and visiting the facilities of NIRDTP were held on the 15th October. The event closed with a dinner at a Romanian restaurant, which provided a great opportunity for informal discussions and networking.
